James Mikes (1 sister and 2 nephews; 6 sisters and 1 brother; 15(not too sure how many) grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren) On sunday march 19, my grandpa on my mothers side of the family died. this was 2 days after my birthday, march 17. Thankfully he had enough strength, which surprized all of his 7 of his children and thier spouses, to write the last birthday card for his grandchildren to me. He was 83 years old and lived an extrodinary life. he served in the army for a number of years, lived a rich and exciting life on the farm. He lived in a house and his father in a trailor on the property until he died when i was 4. I didnt know too much about my grandfather or any of my moms sisters because they were the country family and we only saw them 2 and sometimes 3 times every year so i didnt grow up knowing them all that much. please pray for my mother especially because she is going through this rough time, and her sisters and brother as well. She went into the hospital this last friday on feb.11 and they didnt expet to get out even if she did last. she was better on sat ight and even better on sunday mourning. My dad was there today(tuesday 15) and watched her die. she was alive for 24 hours breathing very deeply and un-steadily. died at 11:55 am. Wake is on sunday and funeral on monday but i dont know where. please pray for our sorrow and the health of my other cousins, aunts, uncles, my mom's grandma and grandpa. She was in a coma and then seemed to have recovered, but she passed away today. My friend is having a very tough time dealing with it. She can't understand why God would take such a wonderful person.
